Tango Magia - Artist's Statement

The tango teaches us to open our hearts, listen and connect with our partner. Then the tango connects us with the dancers in the community where we live. As we travel the tango connects us with other communities around the globe. In the end the tango connects us back into ourselves. Then there are moments when the tango connects through us, our partner, our community, out into the universe and an unseen hand enters the room. Somehow a few of these moments ended up in my camera. Gracias por la magia del tango. Es el amor de la vida. Por eso bailamos.

Keith Widyolar Bio

Keith Widyolar is a New York fashion, rock and tango photographer, and a marketing consultant who works globally with leading artists. He is one of the founders of Wubba, the #2 dog toy brand in the world. He has taken another web software company public on the NASDAQ, and appeared on CNN, ESPN and HGTV.

Keith's photography has been published in Elle, Jalouse (France), Revista Poder (Brasil), the New York Times and many other leading publications worldwide. He is the official photographer for the New York, International Istanbul, and Amsterdam Tangomagia tango festivals. A lifelong musician, Keith led the cowboy band Ike Burns and the Electric Tumbleweeds for a decade. Ask him to yodel for you. Today Keith's marketing skills, musicality and life as a social tango dancer add a unique touch to his creative work. Keith is known for his ability to connect with artists and capture the magic experience of being truly alive.
